Hunter JCB’s new VMT 380-130 road roller is designed to offer high productivity and reliability with maximum operating economy, excellent serviceability and safety.

The VMT 380-130 is the ideal combination of static weights, and centrifugal forces. Making this vibratory roller perfect for a wide range of both soil and asphalt applications, from rolling sub-base to finish rolling. Thanks to excellent manoeuvrability and a compact design, the VMT380-130 compaction rollers are ideal for a wide range of workplaces, including yards, access roads, residential streets, car parks, roads, highways and airports.

Weighing 3750-3850kg and powered by a 4 cylinder 33.6 kW motor, the VMT 380-130 has an operating width of 1300-1400 mm and generates centrifugal forces of 59 to 63 kN. There’s also an adjustable seat for comfort and productivity.

The ideal combination of static weights, centrifugal forces and amplitudes makes this vibratory roller perfect for a wide range of both soil and asphalt applications.

Automatic vibration control activates whenever the drive lever is moved from the neutral position, providing the perfect finish at layer ends. With three frequency settings (50/59/66 Hz), you can tailor your VMT380 machine to your exact requirements.

With class-leading 63kN vibrator performance providing superb productivity, and class-leading gradeability of 42% for great versatility.


We’ve equipped the VMT380 with a tapered front frame and low bonnet profile, providing excellent visibility to the front drum edges.

The operator’s seat can be laterally re-positioned for improved versatility, comfort and visibility. A low rear water tank and low profile rear frame means excellent rear visibility.

Controls are intuitive, easy to use and laid out to the industry standard for quick acclimatisation and maximum productivity, while the tight turning circle makes for excellent manoeuvrability on confined sites.


Reduced noise and class-leading low vibration levels allow fatigue-free all-day operation.

JCB’s low vibration levels are achieved partly by mechanically isolating the driver’s seat, steering column, lever and footplate. The optional flip over vandal cover protects the dashboard and controls from damage and unauthorised access.

Non slip access steps have been fitted to both sides of the machine for ultimate safety when entering and exiting, and a reflective paint and decal option makes the VMT380 clearly visible in all light conditions.


To get the best possible return on your investment, you need to minimise downtime. To do that, you need maximum serviceability. Fortunately, the VMT380 is designed to do just that.

The VMT380 is a grease free machine. All bearings are teflon-coated and the centre joint is sealed for grease-free zero-maintenance use. Exciter shaft vibration bearings are maintenance-free. The 4 drum scrapers are spring loaded and easy to remove, and an additional lock means you can position the scraper off the drum avoiding unnecessary wear of scrapers.

Designed with unique 3-point preloaded rubber mountings, the mounts can’t be overloaded.

Daily checks are easy and access is superb via a wide opening front bonnet. The radiator is easy to clean and the battery can be accessed without tools.
